We teach a UCI graduate course, Beach Dynamics, at Crystal Cove Station located at Crystal Cove State Park. The course covers linear wave theory, coastal sediment transport, and regional sediment dynamics and includes both field work and modeling.
We also partner with the Crystal Cove Conservancy to deliver the Coastal Dynamics high school education program. This program enables students from across southern California to learn about coastal change and get an entry point to the field of coastal engineering.
